Firefighters extinguish oil fire at Elyria factory after furnace becomes ‘superheated’

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – Firefighters from Elyria, Lorain and Sheffield Village worked Saturday evening to regulate a fire at Ohio Metallgurical Providers on the east aspect of Elyria.

A significant-temperature furnace buried in a pit and encased in 1,300 gallons of oil overheated in the facility and the oil caught fireplace, according to the Elyria Fireplace Office.
