Rose Music Hall closed this week for furnace repairs

The power of rock ‘n’ roll can’t be stopped — it only can be delayed for awhile.

This week will be a little quieter in Columbia, with concert venue Rose Music Hall closed for repairs.

“Hi friends! The furnace at Rose Music Hall has finally bit the dust. We will be closing up shop for a few days while we await some replacement parts,” the venue said in a Facebook post last week.

The temporary closing affected shows from Jan. 7 through Jan. 15, the post stated.

Tickets for these shows will be honored at new dates when they are rescheduled, the venue said. Anyone wanting a refund was invited to call the ticket service Etix at 1-800-514-3849.

The Park Avenue club’s sister venue, The Blue Note, remains operational this week with dates including comedian William Lee Martin and Elton John tribute act Elton Dan and the Rocket Band.
