The Hays USD 489 school board will consider bids for the HVAC replacement at Hays High School at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the Rockwell Administration Center.
The $6 million project will replace the original HVAC system for Hays High, which was installed in 1979. It will include a majority of the building. Repairs to HHS’s gym HVAC system have already been completed.
The board will also hear a report on its application for the third round of federal COVID relief funds.
The district plans to use some of these federal funds for the HVAC repairs, which should improve ventilation in the building.
