OLYMPIA – DDA clients living in an in-home setting may be able to obtain a portable air conditioning unit through the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). There is a limit of one AC unit per household.
Air purifiers are also available for clients living in areas that are historically known to be impacted by smoke from wildfires.
You are encouraged to submit your request as soon as possible before the weather gets hot and air conditioners are in high demand. The AC unit will be delivered to your home, but it will not include installation.
