Within the framework of the Energy Security Project for Ukraine, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), 25 Ukrainian municipal heating companies received 30 excavators to repair heating networks damaged as a result of Russian aggression.

This was announced during a briefing on US support for municipal energy security in Ukraine, attended by US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, acting Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Vasyl Lozynskyy and USAID Mission Director to Ukraine James Hope, on December 8 in Lviv .

According to US Ambassador Bridget Brink, to help the Ukrainian people get through a difficult winter, the United States is providing support to Ukraine to stabilize and repair electricity, heat and gas networks across the country.

As Vasyl Lozynsky noted, the assistance of international partners is extremely important for Ukraine in the context of missile attacks on critical infrastructure of communities.

We are grateful to the US Government and the USAID for the supplied equipment that will speed up repairs and restore heat and hot water supply to the homes of Ukrainians,” he said.

So far, the excavators have been received by municipal heating companies of Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Korosten, Vasylkiv, Brovary, Bila Tserkva, Dnipro, Poltava, Kremenchuk, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Kovel, Ternopil, Kropyvnytskyi, Lutsk, Rivne, Vatutine, Okhtyrka, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Zaporizhzhia.
