Tiatrists call for RBM to repair AC unit, improve audience experience

MARGAO: Tiatr lovers have urged Ravindra Bhavan Margao (RBM) and the Art and Culture Department to expedite the repair of the three central air conditioners (AC) at the Pai Tiatrist Hall.
In August, RBM had shut the hall briefly but after a meeting with the RBM Member Secretary (MS) and a group of tiatr directions, the hall was reopened and the shows continued, with the sole functioning AC and some pedestal fans placed in the hall.
The shows held so far have received a good response and tickets for future shows are being booked in bulk.
However, some audience members have pointed out that as it gets quite warm inside the Pai Tiatrist hall, and are hoping that the central AC gets repaired as soon as possible to improve the overall experience.
Even as the RBM Member Secretary said that the repair works were underway, tiatr directors hope that RBM does not meet the same fate as other halls such as RB Vasco, which were also shut down due to faulty ACs that have still not been repaired.
“Don’t take tiatr directors and audience for granted. Let the auditoriums run like before. If something is amiss, do the repairs immediately,” said tiatr director Pascoal de Chicalim.
