Newark-based Strikepoint Group Holdings, formerly known as Horizon Group Holdings, continues to snap up East Coast heating and air-conditioning companies.
The latest acquisition is Largo, FL-based Paradise Air, Inc. The purchase is Strikepoint’s eighth of 2021. Sellers were Jill and Tim O’Connell, who opened the business in 2010. The company operates in Pinellas and Hillsborough County, FL.
Founded in 1987, Strikepoint Group Holdings got its start in Delaware and was formerly known as Horizon Group Holdings and before that Geiger Brothers.
Since 2017, Stikepoint has made acquisitions in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, and Florida.
In 2019 and 2020, Strikepoint acquired two of the larger regional HVAC players, Hutchinson and ServiceMark.
The most recent acquisitions are First Class HVAC in Millsboro, DE; EB Design Air in Hillburn, NY; A-Absolute Plumbing, Heating, and Air in Roselle, NJ; 4 Service Pros in Lorton, VA; Hurley & David in Springfield, MA; Solvit Home Services in Plainville, CT; and Level Home Services, Havre de Grace, MD.
To date, Strikepoint has retained the nearly two-dozen brands it has acquired.
