It turns out that if your HVAC system is on a regular maintenance program, you’ve done both.
First, you win because you had your system optimized and ready to go. The more attention you pay to maintaining your heating and cooling system, the better that system is in the long run and the longer it will last.
And B, you win because your system didn’t run that much, which means the system itself was less worn. It’s a bit like parking your car in the garage. If you don’t use it that often but keep it it will last longer.
So we benefited from an unlikely win-win situation.
