If you are using Route 47 to get from one side of Dennis Township to the other, plan a detour next month.
According to a post on the Dennis Township local government Facebook page, beginning Monday April 19, the state will repair the bridge on Route 47 at Johnson Pond, which is west of Petersburg Road at mile marker 18.5.
Officials say the work should take about a month as workers replace the bridge deck.
When the road is closed, it goes both ways at the same time. And although the NJDOT has not yet announced an official detour, drivers could use County Routes 611 and 638, which are about a ten-minute drive from the lockout point.
