MECOSTA COUNTY — Repair funding is currently available to Mecosta County homeowners through the Big Rapids Housing Commission.

Mecosta County has a limited amount of funds available to qualifying homeowners in the county as well as the city of Big Rapids who are in need of emergency repairs.

Emergency repairs include, but are not limited to: replace a leaking roof; replace malfunctioning hot water and/or heating equipment; plumbing repairs; overflowing septic tanks; and several other related repairs.

Funding is available on a first come, first qualified basis. Homeowners must be current on their taxes and insurance. A zero interest lien will be placed on the property, which will be due in full when the property is sold or otherwise disposed of.

For more information or an application, contact the Big Rapids Housing Commission at 231-796-8689.
