Patricia “Patsy” (Ponder) Rossiter, 81, of Georgetown, formerly of Warwick, Md., Passed away on Monday March 15, 2021, peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Wilmington March 17, 1939, daughter of the late Stewart and Mary Georgianna (Sullivan) Ponder.
Patsy married the love of her life, Gordon T. Rossiter, on September 17, 1966. She built a lifelong career in the HVAC industry and was a half-owner of Thermal Energy Inc. She was a member of NAWIC Cecil County, Maryland’s Planning Commission, but her favorite hobbies were family time and fishing with her husband. Patsy was a loving and devoted woman, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who is deeply missed by everyone who has known her.
Patsy is survived by her beloved husband of 55, Gordon T. Rossiter of Georgetown; their children: Donald L. Spinden from Georgetown, Gordon Rossiter Jr. (Pam) from Reddick, Florida, Debbie Morrison (Timothy) from Georgetown, Tracy Rossiter (John) from Seaford and Kelly Rossiter (Stephen) from Dagsboro; her grandchildren: Maria Hartmeyer (Philip), Rocky Donovan (Victoria), Timothy Morrison Jr. and Stephen Smith; and her great-grandchildren: Alyson, Teagan, Riley, Eliza; Great-grandchildren out of love: Za’kai and Eli; and her beloved pet, Chica.
Services will be private. The arrangements were entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, Georgetown.
