The HVAC system at the Oregon-Davis School Corporation is undergoing analysis in order to understand what the operating needs are.
Superintendent Bill Bennett said officials from JMA Architect and Millies Engineering are doing the work.
Bennett explained, “They are going through and giving us a complete analysis of our HVAC system, basically telling us this component has this many years left, this component may need replaced now,and then what they’ll do is come in with recommendations on what they would recommend – replacing various HVAC parts with and giving us some options if we want to go with maybe a certain tier for different stages of the project.”
Bennett said the HVAC systems for heating and cooling are older in both buildings, but there is no immediate issue with their operation.
Additionally, the Oregon-Davis School Board is meeting in special session tomorrow night (Tuesday, June 7) at 6 p.m. CT to discuss school safety. The meeting will be held in the Humanities Room in the Junior/Senior High School at 5990 N. 750 E. in Hamlet.
