National HVAC Service recently announced the retirement of Tom Rathfon, who now begins enjoying the fruits of his long, distinguished career.
After a science and engineering education, Rathfon, like his father, started a career in the heating and air conditioning industry. Having joined Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning in 1980, Rathfon acquired 40 years’ experience in the full spectrum of HVAC design and estimating, from homes to industrial facilities.
Responsible for sales, design, estimating and supervising installations, Rathfon has always been driven to achieve accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail, said Bill Messick, general manager of National HVAC Service.
On his travels across Delmarva, Rathfon is proud to see and remember the many homes and businesses he has provided with climate-control systems throughout the years.
“Tom will certainly be missed as a member of the National team, not just because of his knowledge, expertise and professionalism, but as a friend and trusted colleague. The can-do attitude that Tom has brought to every task he was faced with will be missed,” said Messick.
When asked what he wants to do in retirement, Rathfon just smiled and said, “Whatever I want to!”
The National HVAC Service team wishes to congratulate Rathfon on his retirement and thanks him for spending so much of his career and life with them.
