Zunheboto, October 30 (MExN): In continuation of efforts to improve road conditions within the 35 Assembly Constituency, Zunheboto, a road repair work was undertaken and completed in Zunheboto town between October 25-29.
The repair was done under the initiative of Ghovishe Kiba, Class-I Contractor, two-term Zunheboto Town Council Member and a BJP Nagaland State Executive Member, informed a press release from Media Cell BJP 35 A/C Zunheboto Mandal.
“The state of the roads in-and-around Zunheboto town are in sheer pathetic condition,” it maintained.
Accordingly, Kiba started the repair and maintenance of around 3 kilometre stretch road from BOC junction to Civil Helipad Ground Amphoto Colony on October 25, the release informed.
It was completed on October 29 under the supervision of Amphoto Colony Council Chairman, Council members, GBs and BJP 35 Assembly Constituency Zunheboto, Mandal.
The road serves as the lone roadway to about 250 households of Amphoto Colony, the release said.
During the same, Kiba has donated his two JCBs, two dumper trucks, a roller and other machineries along with other resources for filling up major potholes and levelling the ground surface for smooth ply of vehicles, it informed.
Earlier, the first phase of repair and maintenance of 11 km road stretch between Asukhomi and Zunheboto town National Highway 702A, was also completed under the initiative of Kiba, it added.
