HUNTING VALLEY, Ohio
Suspicion: South Woodland Road
Police were called to a home around 11 a.m. on Jan. 24 where residents reported that about 40 minutes earlier, a suspicious person had been in the area, perhaps trying to gain entrance into their house.
He was described as a White man of average height, bundled up due to the weather, who approached the resident in reference to a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) job for which he claimed to have the paperwork in hand.
This all came as news to the homeowners, who told police that he did not appear to have arrived in any vehicle nearby.
Officers checked surrounding properties but were unable to locate the suspect, who had apparently left the area.
