Morven is hunting for a block grant for community advancement.

MORVEN – Morven applies for a local community growth block grant to maintenance houses within the town limits for the well being and security of citizens aged 62 and more than. The repairs lined by the grant consist of water, sewer, roof, electrical energy, heating and cooling. The scholarship is quite aggressive as only seven to ten metropolitan areas are awarded.
The North Carolina Office of Commerce has a highest total of $ 10 million for this grant, and acquiring entities would not be demanded to raise funds if granted. Repair service fees are offered in belief deeds, which are forgivable, small-interest, no-repayment loans. Centralina’s James Luster advised the city apply for the maximum grant volume of $ 750,000. Centralina also waives the application rate to support the software system.
