London, ON, October 29, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – This afternoon, a steam line under York Street in central London was compromised, causing local property damage and a loss of heating to some shops and buildings in the area. Nobody was injured.
London District Energy has an on-site team working to safely restore service and begin the cleanup.
The cause of this incident is not yet known and the company will open an investigation as soon as the services are safely resumed. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.

We are working flat out to restore service, repair the damage and understand the cause to make sure it doesn’t happen again happened.”
