Construction materials retailer Ferguson Enterprises LLC is building its own location in Valley View.
The walls are in a 70,000-square-foot building on Granger Road near Brecksville Road that the Newport News, Virginia-based company is building.
Jerry Spry, Ferguson’s HVAC director for the Ohio Valley, wrote in an email that the company is expanding as the market demands. It is planned to provide an improved service with the new location.
The Granger building will include a 2,500 square foot counter and retail area for contractors. The rest will be a warehouse for the HVAC wholesale supplier.
The Valley View operation will serve Ohio north of Columbus. It will replace an older location of similar size in Streetsboro and complement the nearby Parma HVAC business, which will be retained.
The new facility will create 35 jobs in Valley View.
In the suburbs there is already a distribution center for Ferguson Waterworks, whose unit is dedicated to valves and other sanitary ware.
“Valley View is logistically centered for the majority of our business and has a high density of contractors and competitors,” Spry wrote.
Valley View Mayor Jerry Piasecki said he was excited about the company’s expansion in the village.
