HVAC, plumbing company signs 10-year lease on Trumbull building

HVAC Expert February 26, 2022

TRUMBULL — A vacant building on Corporate Drive will soon be home to a warehouse and fabrication site for a North Haven-based company.

F+F Mechanical, a family-owned and operated company involved in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems throughout Connecticut, has signed a 10-year lease for 140 Corporate Drive.

The lease starts March 1. The financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

In addition to its North Haven headquarters, F+F has a Stamford site that it was “starting to outgrow,” said Stephen Hodson, of Hodson Realty, who represented F+F in the deal.

The company will transition out of the Stamford facility and into the Trumbull one over the next year, said F+F Mechanical Vice President Frank Ferrucci. He echoed Hodson’s statement about the company needing more space.

“Quite frankly, there wasn’t much out there,” Ferrucci said. “When we found that site (in Trumbull) it was a good location and it fit the bill in terms of size.”

The company plans to use the 18,680-square-foot Corporate Drive building to make and store HVAC parts.

Hodson said the Corporate Drive location was considered ideal as it’s close to Route 25. Though he said some improvements are needed, the company expects to move into the facility “almost immediately.”

F+F was established in 1982 and is owned and operated by the Ferrucci family.

Both Hodson and First Selectman Vicki Tesoro said the new business should be beneficial to Trumbull.

“It will bring more tax revenue to a property that’s been vacant,” Hodson said.

Tesoro agreed.

“We welcome F&F Mechanical to Trumbull,” she said in a written statement. “We are happy to see this 19,000 square feet of vacant space reoccupied for such an appropriate use. Trumbull is the place to be and this site allows easy access to the Fairfield County and the region.”
