SANTA MONICA, CA — Air conditioning went out in all buildings on Santa Monica College’s main campus Wednesday afternoon, the school announced.
The school’s library and pavilion lost air conditioning first around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to the school. Around 1 p.m. all on-campus buildings had lost air conditioning.
“The college is working to resolve the issue ASAP,” the school wrote in a Tweet.
Santa Monica College’s Main Campus is located at 1900 Pico Blvd.
Students were advised to check in with their instructors if they had on-campus classes Wednesday.
Santa Monica was expected to see a high of 85 Wednesday as the greater Los Angeles area continued to see scorching temps.
