So we’re all using our A. C. These days and we’re really counting on it to work but if yours stops working you may be in trouble. Many of you have contacted Wrl about service delays and repair parts that are not being available. WRS Leslie Marino joins us live from Raleigh after speaking with an A. C. Company on how they’re managing this and what they’re doing to keep people cool. Leslie Gerald companies have been dealing with delays, employee shortages and now an increase in prices. The owner of this company here in Raleigh says they’re doing the best they can but sometimes people are having to wait weeks for some cool air. Mhm. I had to pull a blower motor out of this. Now granted it was a used part but it will match up with the same system. So as a temporary fix companies are getting creative to keep people cool. These are normally full and now you see we have a lot of empty shelves. The owner of 919 fix my A. C. Says they’ve seen a 30% increase in parts in the last year. Which means customers are having to pay more to. Not necessarily surprised. I think we’re all hardened to it now it’s been in the news every day not to mention the ongoing delay in shortages of materials Paula heads. It had to wait four weeks to get his A. C fixed. Just one of the many effects of inflation and continued supply chain issues being told it’s going to be 4 to 6 weeks to get your fixed in this heat especially as kind of hard to hear. But everyone understands that with inflation and supply chain issues when the temperature rises, so does demand. Anderson has pulled parts from various units for clients costing him more in the long run, especially on the labor side because now Sending a man out twice to do the same job twice the first time to just get a client by and then again to put the new part in while the shortage of employees continues. It’s easier to sit in the air conditioning and work on a computer than it is climate an addict that’s 150° and if you do need a repair make sure you call an expert right away so any parts can be ordered as quickly as possible. Gerald we all need to stay cool Leslie Marino live and Raleigh thank you Leslie.
