The PA Petroleum Association has completed its second phase of its expansion at the organization’s training center in Lower Swatara Township.
This phase of expansion consisted of the renovation of 600 square feet of space for training apparatus and classrooms, bringing the total floorplan for training to more than 4,000 square feet of dedicated space for HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and energy training programs at its facility at 911B S. Eisenhower Blvd.
The not-for-profit trade association says its programs offer a curriculum tailored to give candidates the baseline skills required to secure a career in the HVAC and energy sectors.
The nonprofit said the expansion will allow it to train hundreds of additional energy-sector professionals in the coming years.

This project is part of a 10-year strategic plan of training expansion initiatives, which also included the addition of a new director of training and workforce development at the end of 2022. The association plans to double the size of building space by 2026.
“We’re excited to create a larger, modernized instructional facility for current and future students,” Ted Harris, executive vice president of PA Petroleum Association, said in a news release. “The new classroom arrangement will position PPATEC for future growth by being able to accommodate far more students — all at the same time.”
To accommodate this expansion, the association has relocated its administrative operations to a separate location on Executive Park Drive in Swatara Township.
