CARSON CITY, Nev. – While the summer heat rages on, Roper’s Heating and Air Conditioning continues to deliver. Dropping an additional 56 fans to the Carson City Senior Center as part of Roper’s continued participation in the KOLOCares Fan Drive, this latest donation brings Roper’s total contribution to 189 fans donated this summer.

Ten of the fans were donated by The Home Depot Foundation and facilitated by The Home Depot store in north Carson City.

The official KOLOCares Fan Drive ended Aug. 31 but there is still time to donate. As of right now, fans are going quickly due to the recent unprecedented heat wave. Any fans that are not given out this year will be stored and donated next summer.

“Roper said fans may be dropped off at the Roper’s office, located at 2062 S. Edmonds Drive in Carson City, or picked up by a Roper’s service technician during a service call. Fans may also be dropped off at the Carson City Senior Center Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 911 Beverly Drive.

“Delivering these fans is essential to the health and wellness of our seniors each summer,” Roper said. “I encourage everyone to pick up a fan and drop it off at the Senior Center to bring much-needed relief from the heat. Every single fan is appreciated by the person who receives it.”

Donated fans must be brand new and in the original box.

People aged 60 or older are eligible to receive a new fan. For more information on how to receive a fan, call the Senior Center at (775) 883-0703.
