ALIGARH : The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Z. H. College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University organized an online lecture on “Sustainable Designs of HVAC Systems in Commercial Buildings” in association with ASHRAE AMU Student Chapter.
Delivering the lecture, Mr Adil Inam (Business Manager, Intercol, Bahrain) gave a short introduction to the HVAC&R mentioning the various simulation softwares used in HVAC&R, thermal comfort and highlighted the role of ASHRAE in HVAC industry.
He elaborated the important aspect of ‘Net zero building’ and ‘Energy plus buildings’ and urged student and faculty members to take up the challenges of HVAC systems and sustainability.
Earlier, welcoming the guest speaker, Prof M. Muzammil (Chairperson, Department of Mechanical Engineering) introduced the speaker and discussed the importance of HVAC systems and sustainability.
Mr Taliv Hussain (Faculty Advisor, ASHRAE AMU Student Chapter) highlighted the details of forthcoming activities planned by ASHRAE. Dr. Mohammad Asif (Faculty Co-Advisor, ASHRAE) proposed a vote of thanks while Mr. Taliv Hussain and Dr. Mohammad Asif coordinated the event.
More than 150 students and faculty members from different institutions including IIT Rookee, IIT Bombay, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (Punjab), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Manipal institute of technology, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Punjab), Najran University, Najran, KSA, University Putra Malaysia, Pusa Institute of Technology Delhi, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Aliah University, Kolkata and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi attended the online lecture.
