Pair arrested for theft of HVAC unit and oil tank

SALISBURY, Md. – Police in Wicomico County have charged two men in connection to a reported theft of an HVAC unit and oil tank.

On January 22nd, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Officer responded to a residence in the 30000 block of Johnson Road for the reported theft. Through investigation, it was determined that 35-year-old Ralph Jones and 51-year-old Randy Griffith were responsible for stealing the oil tank from the property. The pair reportedly then took the tank to a local scrapyard.

Griffth and Jones were both charged with fourth degree burglary, theft scheme $100 to under $1500, and theft $100 to under $1500.

Police say it is suspected that these suspects are likely involved in other theft incidents in the area. Anyone with information on this incident or other theft incidents is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 410-548-4891 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
