GE Appliances has issued a voluntary recall of certain free-standing and slide-in ranges manufactured from May to June of 2021 and sold in the U.S.

The recalled products were sold under various brand names including GE, GE Profile, Cafe, Haier, Hotpoint, Crosley and Conservator.

The reason for this recall is that in some installations, ranges can tip over when a heavy weight is posted on an open oven door, which poses the risk of tip-over and burn injuries from hot foods and liquids in cookware.

Consumers may continue to use the ranges if they wish, but are advised not to put any objects on the open oven door until the range’s anti-tip bracket has been inspected and repaired if necessary.

To determine if your product applies to this recall, local your range’s model and serial number. Depending on your model, the serial number can be found either on a label on the left-hand side or top right when the oven door is opened, or on the left-hand side when the bottom drawer is opened.

Put your product’s model and serial number in the information boxes here to determine whether your product if affected or not.
